Ming Principle
Ming Principle
Crossover between different musical styles, sounds
and worlds of ideas seems commonplace nowadays. Nevertheless the connection
between traditional Chinese and improvised "Jazz" -music still
seems to be searching for new meeting places. The Ming Principle pretends
to be one. This project aims to investigate possibilities of linking
these two totally different musical traditions. Traditional melodies
and new compositions are combined with improvisational ideas evolving
from both traditions by a great cast of players.
