Passaggio
With "Passaggio" it was time for a new development
in our repertoire. We asked our favourite Dutch musicians / composers
in the field of jazz-and improvised music to write new compositions for
us. The assignment was simple: to write for our personalities and to
include their personal vision on new music for improvising string quartet.
Exited by this idea we wrote some new compositions ourselves as well.
The repertoire sure gave us a new direction and challenged us to go into
new musical territory. For us the music really has the Zapp String Quartet
flavour of today and we hope you will enjoy it as much as it is enjoyable
for us to play!
